For customers from the automotive industry, the additional module OCIAN [Objective Classification of Instationary Annoying Noises]for the evaluation of transient noise has been developed within ZoundLab.

This patented method enables the objective evaluation of transient background noises that audibly emerge from a superimposed stationary background noise for example the driving noise in a car, which are perceived as disturbing and reduce the perceived quality of a product.

The evaluation is carried out by recognition and classification of the transient squeak, rattling and creaking noises [Squeak and Rattle] in relation to the instantaneous level of the background noise.


With OCIAN, impulsive background noises on vehicle components and complete vehicles can easily, reliably and qualitatively be detected.
